If you become a friend and companion with him, consider me an infidel if you separate from them.
A mouse took the reins of a camel in its hand and set off, amazed at itself.
The camel, due to its agility, moved with it, and the mouse became proud, thinking it was a champion.
The camel's thought shone upon it, saying, "Let me show you, be happy."
They came to the edge of a large stream, where even a mighty elephant would be humbled.
The mouse stopped there and became stiff, saying, "Camel, friend of the mountains and plains,
Why this stop? Why the bewilderment? Step bravely into the stream."
"You are my guide and leader, do not block the path or hesitate."
The mouse said, "This water is vast and deep, I fear drowning, my friend."
The camel said, "Let me see the depth of the water," and quickly stepped in.
The camel said, "The water is up to the knees, blind mouse, why are you bewildered and losing your mind?"
The mouse said, "For you, it's a mere ant, but for us, it's a dragon; from knee to knee, there are differences."
"If for you, it's up to the knees, O skilled one, for me, it has passed a hundred yards over my head."
The camel said, "Do not be reckless again, lest your body and soul burn from this spark."
"Go and be with your kind, the mice; a mouse has no words with a camel."
The mouse said, "I repent for God's sake, let me pass through this deadly water."
"Since you are not a prophet, follow the path until you reach glory from the pit one day."
"Be a subject since you are not a king; do not steer the ship since you are not a sailor."
"Since you are not complete, do not take the shop alone; be content until you become dough."
"Listen to 'be silent,' be quiet; since you have not become the tongue of truth, be an ear."
"And if you speak, speak in the form of inquiry; speak humbly with the kings."
"The beginning of pride and hatred is from lust; the firmness of your lust is from habit."
"When bad habits become firm, anger arises at someone who pulls you away."
"When you become a flower-eater, anyone who pulls you away from the flower is your enemy."
"Idolaters, when they become accustomed to idols, are enemies of those who block the path to idols."
"When Iblis became accustomed to leadership, he saw Adam as inferior due to his own foolishness."
"Who is better than me to be another leader, so that someone like me becomes prostrated to him?"
"Leadership is poison except for that soul, which was an antidote from the beginning."
"If a mountain is filled with snakes, do not worry, for within it is an antidote field."
"When leadership becomes your companion, anyone who breaks you becomes an old enemy."
"When someone speaks against your nature, many resentments arise between you and them."
"Whoever pulls me away from my nature, makes himself a leader over me."
"When there is no rebellious bad nature in him, how can that opposition ignite a fire in him?"
"He accommodates the opponent, making a place for himself in his heart."
"Because bad nature has become firm, the ant of lust has become like a snake from habit."
"Kill the snake of lust from the beginning, or else it will become your dragon."
"But everyone sees their snake as an ant; inquire about yourself from the one with a heart."
"Until gold becomes copper, I do not know my copper; until the heart becomes a king, I do not know my poverty."
