We are our own enemies and friends with the one who kills us, we are drowning in the sea and the sea's waves are pulling us.
That's why we give our sweet life so joyfully and happily, because that king draws us with honey, sugar, and sweets.
We appear fat for the sake of the festival sacrifice, because that butcher of lovers slays beautifully and gracefully.
That devil without fear asks for respite from him, he gave him a respite that will kill him after tomorrow.
Like Ishmael, place your neck happily before the dagger, do not steal your throat from him if he kills or spares.
Azrael has no hand or path to lovers, lovers are slain by love and passion itself.
The slain cry out, "Oh, if only my people knew," secretly the beloved gives a hundred lives and openly takes them.
Raise your head from the earth of the body and then see, whether he lifts you to the sky or slays you.
He takes the spirit of the wind and gives the spirit of rest, again he frees the soul and kills the owl of sorrow.
That suspicion takes away the Christian, the believer does not have that suspicion, for he crucifies his own Christ.
Each lover is like Mansur, they kill themselves, except for the lover who shows that he kills himself deliberately.
Every day death makes a hundred requests of people, the lover of truth kills himself without request.
Should I stop or tell the secret of lovers' death, although the denier kills himself with anger and bile.
Shams of Tabriz rose on the horizon like the sun, fearlessly extinguishing the candles of the stars.
