The cup broke, and I have no wine left, and I am intoxicated. Shams of Religion will restore my ruined state.
The sovereign of the world of insight, the lamp of the world of revelation, whose spirits bow to him from afar.
So that from the sea of bewilderment, his hand raises a thousand souls and spirits drowned in sorrow.
If the sky and earth are filled with the darkness of disbelief, when he shines, all that darkness turns to light.
From the purity that even angels receive from him, if it reaches demons, each would become a fairy.
And if that light is not the demon's sustenance, the veils of grace will conceal the demon.
On the day of celebration when he begins to distribute, there is a wedding in every direction, a feast in every region.
From Tabriz, when that sun shines, the particles come to life like the blast of the trumpet.
O breeze, by God and by the right of bread and salt, every dawn you and I have been made joyful by him.
When you reach the end of the realm of the unseen, pass beyond it and do not be sluggish like the weary.
Fly with the wings you received from that fairy; a thousand-year journey is not far in his presence.
Fly, and when you become weary, bow in prostration for the sake of my weary soul and abandoned heart.
Tell him with tears that since the time of separation, the day has turned dark, and the hair has turned white.
You are the one who immerses all the world's sinners in the sea of mercy and grants them forgiveness.
When the seeing eye does not reach your soul, one who lacks sight is surely excused.
Plead in such a way that you bring the dust of his feet to your eyes, for this pain becomes incurable.
And when you return from this journey with happiness, you cast sparks of existence and non-existence.
When you bring his kohl to me, may a thousand new mercies be upon your soul for countless centuries.
