Lover, open your eyes and see within yourself four streams: a stream of water, a stream of wine, a stream of milk, and a stream of honey.
Lover, look within yourself and do not become a mockery for people, so that one says this and another says that.
I am a servant of that insightful flower who is indifferent to being called a thorn by one and a jasmine by another.
Open your eyes henceforth and do not follow the eyes of others, for one calls you a heretic and another calls you a man of faith.
O God, you have graciously given you the eye of insight, from whose intoxication the wings of the Holy Spirit bow in prostration.
Do not close the eye of the narcissus and do not take the eye of the vulture; do not close the first eye and do not see with the squinting eye.
Lovers have fallen into form within form, like a fly that falls from honey into a bowl of buttermilk.
Rejoice, O eternal lover of the Almighty, for with such wings, what worry do you have of water and clay?
If you wish for Gabriel to become your servant, go and prostrate before Adam quickly, O accursed demon.
If the bloodthirsty desert had known of my Kaaba, it would have shown a garden on every side, with pure water everywhere.
O you who are bewildered by the good and bad of people, how did you become content with this? May God be your helper.
Since the heavens could not bear the trusts of God, how did Shams of Tabriz spread them on the earth?
