In all six directions, my soul is adorned with your beauty. When your polish is found, the mirror shines brightly.
The mirror sees you according to its own width. How can the forms of your perfection fit in a mirror?
The sun asked your sun, "When will I see you?" It replied, "I will rise at the time of your decline."
You cannot move swiftly this way, like a camel. Your knee is tied, O intellect, by your own tether.
An intellect that cannot fit within the seven celestial spheres, O love, why did it fall into your trap and net?
This intellect is a single grain from the harvest of love. All your wings and feathers are bound by that grain.
In the sea of divine life, you took a single plunge. You saw the eternal soul, and your soul became a burden.
What use is a kingdom with your love's sovereignty? What use is its glory with your majesty and splendor?
A hundred golden rings are now in the world's ears from the grace of your answer and the delight of your question.
The unripe ones who did not receive refined gold from your hand are happy with stones and pottery instead of gold.
A hundred spheres revolve around your earth. A hundred full moons bow before your crescent.
With you, our ego's dog becomes a fox and deceives, while the lion bows before your jackal.
We are on a journey, endless like day and night, O soul, as your ascension reaches us from the heavens every moment.
What is our darkness in the presence of your light? What is our bad deed compared to your good actions?
Our sustenance is like our shadow around your tree. From night until dawn, we lament, safe from your displeasure.
Out of longing for your reproach, that chosen Adam came from the highest paradise to the ranks of your sandals.
The sea of the heart roars and boils with your praise, yet I have sealed my lips out of longing for your words.
