The merging of souls in times of peace and wars requires someone whose soul is pure and clear.
Since there is change in the soul during war and peace, it is not a single soul but rather they have become separate.
When the heart desires peace, it is like a bride seeking the companionship of the groom, turning away from the enemy.
Again, when there is an inclination towards someone, it is like having a desire for the gentle and charming groom.
There is merging from the perspectives, merging from the words, merging from the stories, and merging from the thoughts.
Just as the merging is apparent in bowing, in handshakes, in embraces, in kisses, in praise, and in prayers.
The differences in these mergings come from inclination and half-inclination, from the core of dislike and reluctance, and from fear and modesty.
That bowing with deliberation and that gentle praise, all have ranks in meanings and in their chosen forms.
All of this becomes a plaything when you reach someone whose presence makes you bow, and the throne says welcome.
That gentle, nurturing lord of religion, Shams, who saves you from this unfaithful illusion.
How long will you remain fearful and hopeful with nonexistence? All of this is the effect of His anger until the time of satisfaction.
The existence of the soul is truly His, and when you turn away from Him, inevitably you must make do with nonexistence bound by desire.
Sometimes in the repetition of desire, sometimes in the repetition of imagination, sometimes in the repetition of words, and sometimes in the repetition of meeting.
Sometimes a pleasant imagination is like a joke, like a dream, sometimes a bad imagination is like an inappropriate dream.
And then the imaginations are more delightful than those of the vile people; this is the existence that is less than the imagination of blindness.
Then beyond nonexistence, worse than this, from a hundred nonexistences, these nonexistences have ranks just like existence.
Until the auspicious shadow of His lordship comes, no bond will be untied from you, know this for certain, dear heart.
