Our hearts are not stirred by sorrow or joy, our awareness is not bound by imagination and illusion.
There is another state that is rare; do not deny it, for God is very capable.
Do not judge by human conditions, do not dwell in oppression or kindness.
Oppression and kindness, pain and joy are transient; the transient ones die, and their truth is inherited.
Morning has come, O protector of the morning, seek forgiveness for the servant of Husam al-Din.
You are the excuse of the universal intellect and soul, the essence of the soul and the radiance of the coral.
The light of morning has shone, and we, from your light, are in the morning with the wine of Mansur.
What you have given me holds me so; what wine could bring me such joy?
Wine boils, begging for our fervor; the heavens turn, begging for our wisdom.
Wine became intoxicated by us, not we by it; the form exists because of us, not we because of it.
We are like bees, and the forms are like wax, shaping the forms like wax, house by house.
